Milan Senior Welfare Organisation is a registered charitable organisation providing services in Edinburgh and Lothian for older people and unpaid carers from South Asian communities. We are dedicated to meeting their social, cultural, recreational, language, and care needs.

Our mission is to provide comprehensive support to older people and unpaid carers from South Asian communities, ensuring their well-being, inclusion, and happiness.
Our Vision
We envision a community where older people and unpaid carers from South Asian communities are valued, supported, and able to lead fulfilling lives, preserving their cultural heritage and language.

To develop provisions for Older People from Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi and Mauritian communities in Edinburgh and surrounding areas to meet their social, cultural, recreational, language and care needs, allowing ‘Our elderly to age with dignity’.
At Milan Senior Welfare Organisation, we believe in empowering older people and unpaid carers from South Asian communities. We believe in enabling them to embrace their identity, define their future, and contribute to the community.
Our Objectives

To enable elderly people to have a place to meet where they can gather, relax, reminisce

and chat to improve their health and wellbeing

To provide a shared meal in the company of other individuals.

To provide a range of educational and recreational opportunities to increase their knowledge and awareness of the services available and also to reduce isolation and encourage social inclusion

To assist BAME elderly in living independently and remaining active as long as possible by maximising their income

To develop links and work in partnership (as appropriate) with agencies providing services on older people-related issues
